When you first decide to get a tattoo you pick a design you honestly believe you will want on your body for the rest of your life. A change in lifestyle, a new job, a new partner are all reasons that one day you may want your tattoo removing. Sometimes the image you once loved so much can be nothing more than an irritating mark you want removing. Whether it be an ex partners name, or huge artistic piece that took days to complete, the simple truth is that people regularly change their mind and with more and tattoos about, removal techniques are more in demand than ever.

Complete removal of a tattoo is next to impossible even with the advances in technology today. However their are methods in the market today which achieve results so good, they are barley noticeable to the human eye. When you got your tattoo you will of been told that it’s a permanent thing, it will stay on your skin forever. I’m sure at least one person will of said, “You’ll regret it” when you had it done. Thankfully you wont be sat with your mistake for the rest of your life. The degree to which a tattoo can be removed is governed by the shape, size and location on your body. If you had your tattoo done by a highly experienced professional this will help greatly in the removal of you tattoo also.

No surgeon will ever guarantee the complete removal of a tattoo, well, apart from the optimistic few. I’m sure you don’t want an invasive procedure to remove your tattoo so here are a few alternatives that are less drastic.

Laser Tattoo Removal

This is one tattoo removal technique I’m sure you have all heard off. It involves a very concentrated pulse of light (the laser) being put into contact with the skin. Different colors of tattoo ink are removed with different wavelengths to provide the best possible removal.

This procedure is quite painful and most people who undergo laser tattoo removal are given a local anesthetic before any begins. Laser tattoo removal is not without its risks. It can possibly scar and blister the skin and is also very expensive. One treatment is never enough; multiple sessions will be required with time to heal between treatments.

Tattoo Removal Creams & Dermabrassion

Tattoo removal cream is known for its lack of consistency and ever varying results. However they are becoming more and more mainstream these days an

d better and better results are being obtained. Proven to fade tattoo’s there ability to fully remove a tattoo is always in question. Defiantly worth looking into for pain free removal techniques.

Dermabrassion is similar to creams in as much as a cream is applied to the skin that helps remove the skin and absorb the ink. A numbing solution is applied to the skin and a sand paper like material is used to grind away at the top layers of skin. This is a very painful techniques which can cause bleeding and peeling of skin. It isn’t recommended.

Skin Peels

Skin peels are possibly the oldest method for removing tattoos. Originally used to removing warts and marks on the skin people adapted their use to tattoo removal. They have been used to some success fading tattoos but nothing close to removal can occur with these products.

A number of other tattoo removal techniques are out there, all as whacky and wonderful as the next. Be sure to research your treatment properly before potentially damaged you skin.
